Came off work bike. Winchester Hospital, fractured elbow.

My bike is outside work (Andover), can't straighten arm enough to ride it. Could anyone ride it back to Tidworth for me? Can't offer much more than a few beers for your trouble.

Wasted on pain meds so excuse bad typing.

I was still recovering from that one and aggravated it more now. This fractured elbow could be 2-4 months but hopefully I can straighten my arm enough to grip the throttle sooner than that. Don't love the tarmac all 3 on a work bike and all because they failed to maintain it.

Hope you aren't off for long mate - hope your work also sorts the situation out. Using the ZZR and they pay fuel not an option?

Thanks for all the well wishes.

HUGE thank you to Marmalade and Mrs Marmalade who gave up their Friday evening to drive to Andover load up my bike despite him having a badly injured shoulder and take it to my house.

I'm done with that job mate. Going to look in to finding a cheap dullville once this arm is better and use it for proper couriering.

Get well soon. Just seen this otherwise I would have taken your bike home for you. You have my number so give me a call anytime you need help. This is not a false offer so use it.

I know that's genuine Craig. I honestly didn't think of it/remember I had your number, my mind is seriously addled the past few months with the amount of Tramadol and other crap I'm having to dump in to myself to function.

Hope you are finally sorted. I'm on Tramadol, as well, but for a different reason. Good luck with you arm. Richard

WR and Vulcan... a word of warning.
I was on tramadol after the ops for neck and thyroid cancer , which left me with the necklace Ive got now. In hospital they give you it for pain, when you leave they ask if you are in pain, you say no because you aren't. the doctor then gives you a repeat prescription and you keep taking it. I lost 2 stone in weight, stopped eating then stopped drinking as I was being sick. I couldn't even make an appointment to the RUH , I had the district nurse out to give me an injection to get there.
in the surgeons review he admitted me straight away and 16 hours on the drip re-hydrating..
be careful with T, the mrs wont let me have it now

Thanks. Saw a specialist today the fracture is minor he reckons I can ride soon as I can stretch the arm out straight again.

I've been on Tramadol since June from a prior accident (Codeine for a month before that). Dropped 3 stone despite eating like a horse. The Gabapentin for the nerve based pain is worse makes me vomit a lot, leaves me really confused at times (think senile OAP style) and causes loads of mouth ulcers.

You were most welcome.
I needed to try out the trailer anyway, first use since I meddled with it.
Mon/tues I dragged it over 1000 miles to Aberdeen and back.
