What a damn shame. Tragic. He seemed such a nice guy and so genuinely enthusiastic, that's hell of a bright light gone out. Won't forget his cheeky little grin while showing the contents of John McGuiness's campervan fridge on the Honda TT Legends documentary! He looked like he really was (to quote an often over used cliché) living the dream. RIP Simon.

RIP. There will always be fatalities when sport or adventure is pushed to the limit. As Mallory said when asked why he wanted to climb Mt Everest in the 30's ..... " because it's there!"
