1981 Kawasaki CSR 650

Hi, I have a 1981 Kawasaki CSR which won't fire on cylinder 1 and 4. I have checked both coils and HT leads and plugs, all ok. I tried the power leads to the coil that controls no1 and no4 cylinder on the other coil and it did not work. It seems there is no signal coming from the igniter to those two wires. Could it be the igniter or the signal/ power from the stator up to the igniter etc. it's really expensive to change the igniter so wondered if anyone had a similar bike or igniter that I could try on mine to see if it will fire up all 4 cylinders before I go ahead and buy one. If anyone has any idea what might be the problem and where I might get any parts if I need any could you give me a shout. I have my bike in Corsham.

you need Kawasaki part no 59026- but I think 4 more digits missing.
need to spend some time trying to find what other bikes its used on, you will have to search google USA

Hi Charlie, over the weekend I put new HT leads and caps on my bike and it seemed ok, I took it out for a spin and it rode ok. I took it easy for 5mins then opened her up to only about 65mph and then it seemed to struggle again. It felt like it was only firing on two cylinders again !!! I'm wondering if the 1 and 4 carbs are either flooding or being straved of fuel, any ideas ?
