Have all the lies, deceit and cover ups gone away or are there just more distractions created to put people off the scent?

Just to point out before the inevitable conspiracy theorists of the group chime in. This article/video was published in July 2010, and a considerable amount has changed since then!

Never let fact stand in the way of a chance to blame the government for something Dave! Shame on you :p

We all know that the governments love us and only have our very best interests at heart

Although I’m not a conspiracy theorist per se, I would certainly class myself as a doubter who tends to assess each issue/case on its own merit rationally before passing judgement. People are not born conspiracy theorists or doubters – cynical attitudes are so prevalent in society today because in the past, so many of those in positions of trust in public life have either conspired in cover-ups, lied or manipulated stats/facts to further their own interests, agendas or policies. This is especially true of successive governments and this point could not be illustrated with more clarity than in the case of why so many of our brave young men and women died in Iraq. Let us not forget why we invaded the gulf state and former PM Blair’s claim in his government’s ‘sexed up’ dossier, that, Saddam Hussein had continued to produce WMDs “beyond doubt”. Moreover, I believe we should always question, challenge the way in which alleged facts are selected (cherry-picked) and presented by politicians of all political persuasions. Allow me to elaborate by pretending to be the Downing Street Press Officer issuing the two following hypothetical press releases. 1“Three Million landlords in the UK are in receipt of housing benefit and that can not continue. To tackle this, the government unveiled plans to embark on a staged building programme to construct affordable housing.” 2“Three Million unemployed in the UK are claiming housing benefit and that can not continue. To tackle this, the government unveiled plans to cap the amount of housing benefits paid out.” Apart from the figure (I just plucked it out of the air), both of the first sentences are factual. Selection of course depends solely on the political agenda of the government of the day.

I don't think they even try to dress up the BS as truth any more, it's so blatantly obvious the authorities are lying to us all you'd need to be retarded not to see thru their lies.

They've managed to get a huge proportion of our society to be dumbed down enough not to care so long as theirs knockers on page 3, soaps on TV and football for the "sports" fans, give them that, throw in some reality TV and they're happy in their ignorance and apathy as these people would never read something worthwhile even if they did have the attention span!

It makes me sick.

You should ask who has the guns to oppose it because that's where political change comes from and the answer is nobody as the public willingly begged the authorities to disarm them in 1987 and 1996.

It is the will of the people and not guns which bring down leaders and governments. Margaret Thatcher being a classic case in point
Mass civil disobedience is a far more powerful tool.

Minor victories don't equal major change. To change the system you need power and power comes from the ability to and will to use large scale violence in order to deprive your enemy of liberty or life, in the modern world that comes from the barrel of a gun.

Most of the dictators knew this Hitler introduced gun control, Stalin effectively removed all firearms in private ownership as did Mao. We are a disarmed impotent populace, sure some vote every few years but they don't vote for any kind of change we simply decide which self serving crony gets his turn to use the 10 Downing Street silverware. The only way to change that is to bring it all crashing down, when the current cabinet are being disposed of Ceausescu style on live television then we may finally be able to build a democratic form of government that serves the people till then the "will of the people" is not something that is ever going to feature in our political system.

The upper classes and their lackeys have and always will view the proletariat as little more than pawns to be traded. In this country it seems we have not only accepted that but become so apathetic to it that we actively help them further this exploitation while fooling ourselves with some false belief we have any ability to effect change using the current system.

Ecellent last post WR6133 and and I'm in agreement. Civil disobedience and peaceful protest will bring down a regime, but as you point out it is unlikely to result in any major change. Unfortunately, revolutions/rebellions are usually messy affairs. We only have to look around all corners of the globe to witness violent struggles of disenfranchised populations. Ukraine's future is balanced on a knife-edge and we could all get sucked in if it escalated.

None compliance to the system would work only if everyone does it. 9 am tomorrow if everyone stopped work the criminals would lose their power that instant.
Trouble is most people don't realize the system is broken. As long as they get to watch Eastenders then life's fine

28th of April 2014. Ian R Crane gives a mind blowing presentation to New Horizons Saint Annes.

Humanity vs Insanity: The Fight Back!

Ian R Crane is a former oilfield executive .... who now writes and lectures on the unfolding geopolitical agenda. Ian has spoken at New Horizons many times and draws in huge audiences.

It cannot have escaped your attention that the corporate agenda is being ramped up at a phenomenal pace. The rich are getting even richer, the middle classes are being saddled with ever-increasing debt, whilst the working classes are being forced to compete for work in an ever-decreasing employment market. Many jobs are offered on zero hours contracts ('Slave Labour on Demand'), whilst falsely reducing the reported level of unemployment.

Benefits are being sanctioned and Bedroom Taxes imposed to force people out of their homes, creating an underclass that is then demonised in the lamestream media through such 'reality' shows as Benefits Street.

Where is the compassion? Where is the Humanity? Where are the plans to restore the country to full employment?

The onus is on us to bring about the changes that we all know we need to see!

Within the next few weeks, an initiative will be launched which will become a major thorn in the side of the establishment.

It's TIME for HUMANITY to STAND UP and restore SANITY.

Are you with us? ... or are you going to sit back and watch this country descend into a corporatist hell?

A misconception originating from the 'chattering classes' dinner parties. As free spirits many of us bikers have the ability to think out of the box. We are a very vulnerable species in the world of the road jungle and no match for the powerful 4x4 predators. Our very survival depends on us using our sharp brains. :p ;)

Contrary to what the mainstream media has tried to convince you, it's not at all a mystery how the fire started in Odessa, Ukraine and it's not at all a mystery who started it. We owe it to the victims to expose what really happened.

I've noticed a couple of times the BBC website has attributed something bad to the Ukrainian government in a news article and then less than 30 minutes later the article has changed to remove any blame.
