Heads up.
Aldi have their annual bike gear sale from tomorrow.

Has anyone bought any of their Textile jackets or trousers in the past?

Good/ Bad or random?

Well I bit the bullet and bought a textile jacket and trousers.

They look pretty good, zip out liners, body armour etc,

What's the worst that could happen?

I've bought some of their tinned fish in the past, only kidding HF ;) People regularly post on the forum that Aldi or Lidl have bike gear in and a number of folk on here seem to use their stuff.I know from past observation their thermal base layers are fairly highly regarded, don't know about the textiles though. The only bike related gear I ever had from there was a cheap, wired intercom system for £6.99 and it was naff, but I knew that when I bought it.Just wanted to try one out.

Bought their boots last year and they've been ok in the poor weather

Went and had a look at lunchtime. Thought the jacket & trousers looked well made and the jeans good value. Would have bought the compression base layer, but they don't take credit cards!

Just had a quick look in Aldi in westbury - they have base layers, chains & bike covers marked down to £4.99 & helmets to £14.99
