thought I would put a warning of roads flooded. took me 40 mins from bowerhill to shaw this morning, roads flooded, Melksham area Bath Road, Holt Road, Dunches Lane, Westlands Lane. Police controlled. feel free to add yours

Avon burst at Sutton Benger earlier today, stopped a big group of cyclist's in their tracks!

apparently Staverton mill and Christan Malford blocked as well.

Now under 2ft of water passable - with care but, I think the road may be closed Tomorrow morning (when the water rolls off the hills)

Staverton - water rising but, not at road level yet - overnight it will probably go.

bad from railway ridge to shaw on bath road out of melksham 3 or 4 places, had to go to Shepton today and 3 or 4 places there were floods across the road.

1.5 ft deep in places - passable with care
Keep to centre of road though!

goodes hill , going up from shaw to top of Gastard very wet, laying water. could be nasty if it freezes

Yesterday morning a car was at 90 degrees embedded in the wall opposite the fire station with it's front wheel missing.

We should probably be looking out for pot heads rather than pot holes
