When it started when you turned the key the rev counter went around and you could hear a noise ( like a small electrical motor noise) then you could start the bike, now you turn the key rev counter goes around but no noise and bike will not start?.

That electric whir is the fuel pump engaging.
Sounds like an electrical fault.
Start with the simple stuff like fuses and work your way along.

This might sound stupid but I've seen it done, are you sure you haven't knocked he kill switch?

Tilt sensor under (rear?) seat. I think it should rattle when shaken

on my zx6r i have a servo under the seat that moves and makes a noise that sounds like a pump priming etc. its connected to a valve in the exhaust and (on my bike anyway) if it fails in the closed position then the bike will not start. mine has failed in the open thankfully, but it might be something to look at?

shame, you are around an hour from us.
check the relay connections, you should be able to bridge 2 pins have a look in the manuals.

alternatively halfrauds had the Haynes r6 manual for £1 a few weeks ago, might still have some.

If you don't get anywhere by the weekend I could lend a hand for an hour on sat or sun
