I was interested in this article till I saw the projector in the helmet!

Its way too big! Just wait till Google Glass comes out at £300 and stick a pair of those on instead. Wouldn't take someone long to tether the glasses to a phone with GPS etc, just without the bulk.

5 years ago yes. Not in the current climate with the only people interested in something like this likely being into tech anyway, and will therefore know about the upcoming alternatives.

In order to view it you have to take your eyes off the road - duh!. My Satnav is mounted behind the screen and gives a better and safer view IMO with minimal eye movement away from the road. The display needs to be more central for this to be of use. Nice attempt though and I'm sure its the way things will go.
