Hi all

I need to buy a new battery for my VFR - any recommendations from anyone on where the best deals are for a new battery ?

I will trawl the tinternet tonight but thought I would ask on here as well in case anyone knows somewhere local that do good deals

Thanks in advance for any pointers :-)

It always get mine from GM Stevens in Trowbridge - they've always been the same price or cheaper than Internet deals

Hi Bernie, I've just had to replace the battery on my 1200 Bandit and was pleasantly supprised at less than £30 from these guys in Swindon, acid in the battery and fully charged ready to go,http://thebatteryshop.co.uk/

YEP!!

Cheap as chips.

A new Exide for my SP-1 was £40 ish
Some were asking for more that twice that!

I got a gel battery from GM Stevens and I'm impressed. Well worth the bit extra £££.

All sorted now folks. Really wanted to give my business to the local guys (GM Stevens) but the battery shop was just soooooo much cheaper and as I was in Swindon anyway it was a no brainer.

Thanks for the tip Grey Haired Bloke and Hondafan

A good place to get battery's from is a garden machinery supplier, they use them for their mowers etc. Usually quite a bit cheaper.

we always use The Battery Shop.....as the advert says, if they haven't got it, can't get it or can't make it you don't need it..........:D
