You are too young (a member) to know that they are on about the old forum colours. ;)

BernieBloke, on the old style forum our names changed colour according to the amount of posts we had. The post relate to the users status.

eg: I have now hit 1000 posts so my status has become 'Platinum Member'. One the old site our name would have also changed colour from royal blue to a platinum colour which became very hard to read online so it affectionately become known that you were invisible.

Hope this explains it.

I only view this in Tapatalk these days so can't tell status' unless i go into profiles - does the old style 'uber whore' still exist? Always found that to be a dubious goal!!!

I never know why forums bother with post counts or anything like that. I couldn't care how many post me or anyone else has

I agree, but there's an interesting psychology behind timings and overall posts ie. new members who rocket through the status' versus older members who regularly plod along!!
