I've never used one Jack but you can buy solar powered chargers like the one in the link below.

Solar Battery Charger - 12v
http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000R0UBT8/ref=cm_sw_r_an_am_ap_am_gb?ie=UTF8

Maybe have a look around for a trickle one, you could mount the panel above your door.

I have the same situation, and use a solar one on the roof of the garage - works just as well as a mains one...

Hook up to the nearest lamp post? :)

I'm in a similar position and don't bother. If the bike is in regular use then there isn't a problem, if the bike is being stored, remove the +ve terminal, cover the bike (bubble wrap as an under layer is both protective and insulating) and the battery will sit charged for months.

If the battery needs charging, remove from the bike, take home and charge.

No idea if they are any good but just had an email from 2wheeljunkie with an offer for an Oxford solarised battery charger for £28.49 which might be of interest -

That's the same as the one from Maplins which is half the price http://www.maplin.co.uk/solar-powered-12v-2.4w-battery-trickle-charger-223251
