As above,

I just wondered if anyone has used or would recommend Brenta brake pads - or even heard of them, I hadn't until I saw them on wemoto yesterday.

I'm due to replace mine and would normally go for the EBC brand ones but wondered if these were worth a try?

That's not a brand that I've heard of before, let alone being familiar with their products. My personal favourite brake pads are SBS. You could be brave(?) and try the Brenta jobbies, or if unsure just stick to what you know.

Never heard of them either. If there's no great reason to change (cost, performance etc...) stick with what you know.

I'll stick with what i know I think, maybe when I get back try the Brenta to see what they are like ;)

Probably a pile of w&*k - but I maybe proven otherwise.

Never heard of them - I have used Brembo, Ferodo and EBC and out of those I prefer EBC HH pads - just expect to replace your rotors a little more often as they're quite abrasive which is what I want anyway.

Yeah that's what I use the sintered ones... quite loud aren't they!

How much cheaper are these pads?

Here's the link: http://www.wemoto.com/bikes/honda/nc_700_x/12/

Ordered the EBC ones now but the front price difference is scary - come to the conclusion they will most probably last the distance from taking your bike out the garage to drive... 1 meter in my case.

Dont think i would trust them, not with my life anyway. Shortcuts on most things but not brakes.

That is a scary price difference mate. Mental note to steer clear

i have the Kyoto pads from Wemoto in mine and the stopping power is impressive, switched to EBC GG when the Kyoto's ran out but the EBC failed and crumbled to dust after 2 months, utter wank and won't use EBC again, Kyotos back in and happy days with the confidence in braking, sometimes cheap doesn't always mean crap....Kyoto's only cost £6 each and thats a bargain :)

I use Armstrong pads on the GS. Much cheaper than EBC and I can't tell the difference in terms of stopping power.

Try them, if they are crap, go straight pack to what you know.

Failing that you could try Carbon Lorraine pads...the same ones used on the eurostar an I guess yours is kind of like a train.... :P
