HAs anyone had expierence of this or could recommend an insurance company to try.

A friend is trying to insure a classic scramble bike for storage (fire and theft) only. It is a bit of a special, having 1960's engine in a 2000's frame and worth some money.

He's spoken to the big companies and they won't insure it as it is either too special, too valuable or not road registered.

Any thoughts?

Has he tried on his house insurance as a named valuable item if it isn't road registered?
I could be classed as an ornament

Get in touch with the A.B.I. (Association of British Insurers)
They will direct you to appropriate companies that can offer this type of insurance.
They helped me get insurance on a 599cc GSXR as a learner!
