Led lighting

Has anybody tried this sort of thing for use as day running lights ???

I have just bought some Cree LED torches and a couple of replacement side light bulbs. I have tried the torches and they light for miles and are bloody bright!
Going to fit the lights this weekend hopefully, seems like I might not need a dipped beam if they are as bright as the torches.

Got them both from the bay of e. Bought the best bulbs that weren't from Asia
