View Full Version : Hi Folks
Hello, I have just got another bike after 12 years, It's a 250 AJS Regal Raptor, great for my needs. I have been into bikes since the mid 70's, when I had Suzuki GT250's and 380's. Anyone remember the old 750 waterbottle? I live on the edge of the New Forest on the Hampshire / Wiltshire border about 7 miles from Salisbury. It's great to find a local group........Rod
Hi Rod, welcome to the mob.
I had to look up what AJS you had as I have an Ajay too - mines a 1949 350 tho'. I certainly remember Suzy 'kettles'. I have friend who still has one.
Look forward to meeting you

Lo Rod, enjoy the site:)
:) Drag race an x7!!, In the back of my brain, I seem to remember the X7 being the first 250 to do a ton ! I think they came out after the GT serise, but hey, it was years ago ;)
Did I hear x7? Hubby had one years ago, went miles on that as pillion. Nippy little thing wasn't it ... it's one of the bikes he regrets selling - for £100 at the time!!!

Yeah it was the love of my life but was forced to sell it due to "female" pressure! >:( :'((See gallery for an old photo) Worst decission Ive EVER made! Female turned into my wife and is now the X-wife!!! Wish I could get my sticky mits on another!! ::) :) ::) X7 that is, already got a new (bike friendly) wife!!

Hi Rod,
i'm afraid i preferred the kwaks in those days - on my want list was a KH500, and as your over in that neck of the woods can recommend Burnout bikes as being pretty good for most bikes things, its where i get mine mot'd, bits etc etc
