Hell Dane

I have a Red VFR800 Fi that I love to bits (but looking to upgrade at some point), I also live in Swindon, we will have to meet up some time. ;)

Kevinb :- The things to watch out for on a VFR is the Reg/Rec which I have had two go on me since I have had the bike but it is a known issue with these bikes, I have modified mine now (as I am a member of a US vfr forum and they told me how to get more life out of the Reg), Always get a garage to do the big service as being a V4 and gettting the chains and timing right will take a norm ages unless they are supper good with engines (this coming from a guy that has built kit cars and rally cars).
Others than that if he has a issue give us a shout and we can sort it out, as I think I have had every type of VFR issue going. :)

Thanks for the welcome messages.

I love my viffer lots, gave her a good thrashing today. The reg / rec problems have been mentioned already. I added a PC cooling fan to mine and it probably extended its life but inevitably it failed. So David Silvers to the rescue, this and a new battery and I have had no more problems.

The lower forks are prone to corrosion and the fairing can be a bugger to remove what with siezed top hat bolts and those stupid plastic upholstery clips.

Still it's a very good bike; a classic.
