Gerry here, I live just outside Warminster & work in Westbury.

Passed my DAS about a month ago and am enjoying torturing myself looking at bikes at the mo.

Still trying to grapple between sensible (Suzuki SV650) or lustfull (Honda CBR600 / Suzuki GXSR) but keep yearing after a Daytona or a nice red Ducuti [smiley=happy.gif]

As I rode bikes for about three years - 35 years ago :o I must really work up to something exotic - safety first.

Will keep you posted...

Yes going tonight, not sure how I'll do as I fell off a pallet of chemicals this afternoon (shouldn't have been climbing on them really) :o

I'm trying to contact a guy who's selling nice yellow SV650 on the SV Forum, but no contact details and no answer yet !

Also made a tentative enquiry on a CBR on here (yellow again) - like yellow or red :)

Hi Gatso and welcome, I wish I'd known you a few weeks ago, I would have had an SV650 for sale but I've traded it in now for a Bonneville. I can recommend it for gaining confidence, I just had a bit of trouble keeping it upright when I was stationary, you probably wouldn't have been interested though cos it is blue!

I just picked it one night to use on a car forum but didn't realise that I would get quite involved with the furum and can't really change it now.
Seemed sensible to stick with it on other forums.

I live on the Deverill Rd (on the fast bit) I love to watch the quick bikes go by our place when I'm out the front gardening / playing with the car.
Before I lived here I used to use it to drag my Westfield on :-)

Got a bike at last... ;D

It was one of the first I saw and was interested in, but the guy selling it went awol for three weeks (duff computer he said).

Anyway, here it (she) is:

Suzuki SV650 SY, not the fastest I know, but I think they look lovely, sound great and it's in my garage now :)

Decided to go modest for a while until I get my sea bike-legs back and will think about something quicker next year maybe.

No MOT / Tax or insurance yet but that will be sorted out in the next week - can't wait !

Passed MOT, no probs.
