Hi i have just passed my cbt and have got a honda 125. hopefully by next year i will have passed so i can ride a bigger bike as dont really like 125@'s.but i have ridden a er500 i would not mind getting one of those. any suggestions on what to get. . . . . . :)

Hello and welcome, as for when you pass your test. I would say a good starter bike would be a SV650 or a bandit or hornet. You like the ER500 but I would go for a 600cc or 650cc. As you may out-grow the 500s`. But you have plenty of time to find a bike that suits you.

There are some other 125 riders on here, but don't worry about being on a smaller bike. Many of the rideouts are mixed bikes/abilities so don't be shy about coming along. Get along to the Sally and meet a few people.

Hello my honda mbx 125cc fe will not start but it sound like its the fule but it aint.I looked at the spark plug but its a new one so just don't no why it will not kick over or bump start ? :-[

Is the cut off switch ok???

Check the spark plug by putting it in the lead and holding it (by the insulated bit) against a metal part of the engine whilst trying to start the engine. You should see a nice blue-white spark.

As the engine looks like a smoker, it there too much oil??? Check the plug isn't oily.

Also check there is fuel in the engine, you should smell it after a period of trying to start the engine.
