Hi all,
Just thought I'd put a few things about myself on here.
I'm 29, and now live near Westbury. I used to live in Gibraltar, as part of my job, and managed to get my licence out there for £40 and without lessons. I've now been riding 4 years with no problems and have riden some distance over that time aswell.
My bikes have included a Honda CB750, (not sure the year but it was old), which I passed my test on after the police kept stopping me for not displaying 'L' plates :P
After I passed my test, well the day I passed it, I bought a Yamaha XS1100 custom which was an awsome, but very heavy bike for a novice.
I then bought a Suzuki GSXR750r, which was completely race tuned and very, very fast!!!
All those were within the first few months of passing my test :D
I had a few scooters as well at the time all ranging from little 50's up to 400's.
I now own a 1991 Honda CBR600fm, which I am restoring.
I bought it for £500 and have replaced the fairing, replaced the screen, done a full service replacing the plugs, filter, coolant, etc. (the first ever one looking at the state of it), replaced the headers, replaced the chain and sprokets, fitted an alarm/immobiliser with inteli start, and loads more.
I have a budget for the bike and I'm now currently at £850, which includes the purchase of the bike. The next items to be replaced are the tyres and the radiator and then it goes for an MOT and new UK plates before I can hit the road, although I can still use it now but only until June 10 :(
Hopefully when it's ready, I'll have the time to go on a few rides with the rest of you [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
