Hello everyone,
I currently live in London but grew up in Wiltshire and lived most of my life in Westbury, Warminster and Trowbridge! My family are still there so I'm there quite a lot. I'd love to meet up for some rideouts whenever I'm there.
I have two bikes, a BMW F650GS (which I bought brand new three weeks ago and clocked up 700 miles already!) plus a 2005 Triumph Bonneville T100!
How do I upload a photo for my profile if I dont have a url page? (sorry if its obvious!!)
I look forward to meeting and chatting with you!
Lisa

Hello Lisa, and welcome. There's a section somewhere, how to upload a picture. Believe me, if I could do it, so can you. I'm a cavewoman when it comes to technology...

Hello and welcome, look forward to meeting you on a rideout soon or if you're in Trowbridge on a Friday night, pop along to the meet at The Black Horse on the Frome Road. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Is always a good night! [smiley=thumbsup.gif] Most of us are local so don't expect too many bikes! ;D Have a new food menu now which is tasty and good value - 2 meals for £9 or a main meal (roughly £6) with a free drink! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

yes the F650GS does actually have a 800cc engine as does F800GS but the seat height was just too high on the F800 though its a beautiful bike.
I wish they'd called the F650 something else as I'm always telling my non biker friends that its NOT a 650!!
I would agree the name does seem somewhat strange from what you have said.
Is the seat the only real difference :-?
Seems very strange all this! :-?

Well the F650GS is supposed to be more of an all rounder e.g. lower seat height, able to be restricted , 71hp. The F800GS looks a bit more off road/rugged and with 85hp more powerful too.
I read somewhere that BMW wanted to attract more newbie/lady riders to their GS so they called the F650GS a 650 to sound less powerful! Dunno if thats true or not !! Fancy thinking us ladies can't ride a real bike!!! ;D
Hi Lisa, welcome
