Posted on the Trackday forum before introducing myself. Poor manners on my behalf!
I'm Russell, Southampton based, but my riding takes me through Wiltshire so i hope you don't mind.
Ride a Triumph Sprint ST 955i at the moment but tempted to upgrade to a newer model.
Did the IAM advanced riding course a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it - was taken out all over Hants, Wilts and Dorset and shown some great roads and polished up my skills as a bonus. At the time I wasn't familiar with the area so the tours were a good way to get familiar with the biking routes.
Did my first trackday in April - first lap was a bit scary but after that I loved every minute and didn't want to leave. Next trackday booked in two weeks time!
I called in at the Upavon ride out last week, nice to meet the folks there. Wasn't expecting the frilly knickers and accessories but It takes all sorts I suppose.
Would have gone to Poole tonight but need to put some new brake pads on the Trumpet.
