Back to Biking Again - Chippenham

I've been meaning to sign into the forum for sometime ... but have been busy enjoying getting back into biking again :) I sold my last bike when I moved house :(

P.S. When I go into Chippenham town I park my bike on the pavement on the bridge. The other day when I returned to my bike there was a traffic warden and also two blokes with clipboards and a tape measure taking alot of interest in the area where the bikes were parked. When I asked if there was a problem with where the bike was parked, I was told "You're OK this time ... but we are planning to make this area a no waiting zone"

Knowing the way that councils operate nowdays, they will probably put up a small hidden sign overnight, and then start issuing parking fines to the bikes :o It might be something we need to keep an eye out for? :-/

hello and welcome from the harp & crown, gets me how the council wants people to use bikes for inviromental reasons then give you tickets for parking (twats) suit ass nerds ,but some r allright just incase theres any on the forum ;D

shame i like to see bikes parked on bridge, funny buggers.. maybe they think it spoils the picturesque panorama over the river.. :-? personally i think it inproves it... ;D

As for the parking - put your numberplate on velcro and take it with you when shopping

They're most upset when you start your bike - do up your riding gear - slap on the number plate and ride off!! [smiley=thumbsup.gif] ;D
