Hi everyone,

I'm new to the world of biking and have to say I’m loving every minute of it! Just passed by CBT a few weeks back and starting on the 500cc soon, not going to lie, am a little nervous but enjoying it none the less, been told by a few people to get on hear so hear I am!

After LOADS of practise hope to be riding with you all soon.

Everybody is a little nervous at the start, if you weren’t you would be a risk to yourself.
There are a few ladies that are new or very new on here, some have just passed their CBT and some a little more experienced, what’s more, they are the nicest bunch of people you will find.

Come to the meets (in your car as some do if you wish) and have a natter, I promise you won’t regret it.

I started learning to ride the beginning of April, managed to finally pass my CBT at the end of April and I have just passed my mod1 at the second attempt, fingers crossed my mod2 is the end of August. Everyone said the 500 would be easier and I didn't believe them ::) ;D but they were right, tho it took me a couple of hours to get use to it!
You won't meet a nicer bunch of people than those that make up WB's

Holly, don't worry, we all drop our bikes at times, and most of us (females) can't pick them up on our own (and some males!) - there's usually someone to help physically - it's just the pride they can't assist with! ;D

As Nokesy said, we all drop our bikes, can't remember how many times I dropped my SV, being a girl helps, you just look helpless (which you probably are) and smile, a guy can't help but come and assist, especially when it's a pretty girl like you! :D

No they're absolutely right; there's always someone to help, especially when you're learning. Just try to be confident and not worry- they have big bash guards so you won't do them or yourself any damage even if it does catch you off guard :) You'll be fine!

Holly....I'm on a 125 and Ive dropped mine 4 times so far... the last time I was on my own and blocking an entrance with a car waiting to come out (the driver was about 90) so I found the strength from somewhere to pick it up, move it out the way and get home. But, there are plenty of really nice people out there that will help.....one of my big fears was to be stuck, unable to pick it up etc etc, so you're not alone on that one.
Just stay positive and you will be fine Im sure.
The only damage I did to my bike was a few scratches and Ive got through 2 clutch levers.... my bike was made to be dropped thank god .... lol lol ;D ;D

Don't worry Holly, we only have half a litre of fuel in the tank at any given time, and we use helium instead of air in the tyres... :)
