Hi there, here to introduce myself.

My name is Talan, currently living in Bath, ex Royal Navy Fighter Controller ex PE Teacher and now a skier/biker/motivational speaker.

I have been recommended to join the forum by a friend of mine who thinks Wiltshire Bikers are the best bunch of riders and forum.

Myself, and two friends (one of whom is on the site!) have set up The Bike Experience, which is basically getting disabled motorcyclists back in the saddle.

The charity is a vehicle for those who have been injured to realise they can achieve anything they set their minds to. If you have been paralysed, then riding a bike is probably the hardest thing you can imagine doing. However, once shown that you can ride a bike again, then (hopefully) anything else becomes possible.

I look forward to meeting up with members from the forum at track days (I had to promise my parents I'd never ride on the road again) and at events in the future. If you feel like you'd like to get involved with the charity or want some info for someone you know who might benefit from what we do, please get in contact. I know that a few have already given up their own time to help and I really appreciate everything you have done. Without you guys/girls the charity would not work and there would be disabled riders still believing they can't ride.

Safe riding, see you on the track.

Talan

Hi Talan

Nice to see you here aswel as the SV site, I'm quite new on here too but have been to the local meet at Harp and Crown a few times, I'm yet to make a rideout.

You going to be at the Castle Combe on the 4th July? Would be nice to finally get to meet you.

Cheers

Awesome, hope to see you on a track soon.

Pop over to the Harp & Crown (affectionately called Fart & Clown on account of Stacey, the man with a girls' name that runs it with his long suffering and extremely patient wife!) on any Wednesday

Or come to the Polebarn on a Friday, you can't miss it, they modeled that sail-type-monstrosity in Dubai on it.
It's incredibly suave and sophisticated just like the handsome chap that runs it ;) ;)
