hi,
am looking for somewhere that does courses on basic motorcycle maintance. although i have a bike and ride it everyday(almost), i don't know enough to look after him properly.
i tried trowbridge college but they stopped doing this a while back.
anyone know anywhere else??

Not sure if they still do but Swindon College did do a basic course.

yep - swindon college do a one day course for about £40 i think - not sure how much info it will teach in one day though?

If you can get a Haynes manual. They tell you about the basic maintenance in the first few pages. It doesn't even have to be one for your bike.

cat a workshop manual for your bike would be a good starting point,not sure what college courses are available but there are a lot of usefull tips on you tube http://uk.youtube.com/results?search_type=search_playlists&search_query= motorcycle+maintenance hope this is of some help :)

I would start by just doing simple servicing on you bike with the aid of a manual, that’s how I got going

wow! thanks for that, will give them a call to check this out. even i can scrouge up £40!
i'll find a manual somewhere too. thats probably where i should start i suppose. gonna have to find out how the damn bike works! i was having probs with the electric starter and took him back to the shop, all that was wrong was the earth connection from battery had come loose. How embarassed was i?? Very! :-[
