I've been waiting for this day to come . After fixing bits and bobs on lots of peoples bikes from the forum, I think and you will have to agree this is the best thing to come to this site since I joined ;D
Big recommendation from me
Go for it col
How can we book ?
Maybe the management could make this a sticky [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Hourly rate??

Green Man

Mitch I wont charge by the hour if it’s a simple job 5 or10 minutes it’s just £10 .00 .

I know of some workshops in my area that charge £20 for putting in oil and it’s thing like this that piss!!s me off

Sounds interesting, if you get the rep for good work at the right price, you certainly won't be quiet. PM me if you would be up for valve clearances on a 9r C2, and what your turn around would be?

I must get my own ID on this forum!
It's Tash here,
Liam is out of action at the mo, but we both think Colin is a top mechanic. He's lowered Liams off road bike (well, he was never gonna reach by himself was he?) I cant get too technical because I dont know that stuff but Liam is very impressed with Colins work from chain adjusting, through to engine re-build and cam shaft (I do pick up bits and pieces!).
Two of liam's bikes were totally stripped down in bits in the garage - gave me a heart attack - but he put them back together and they worked better than before - which is the whole point!
Anyway, no doubt Liam will give his own personal glowing reference when he's feeling brighter.

Good move Colin - about time too!!
WB's very own fix it man! ;) :)

If you'd like me to I can put an advert up at work.
Also if you haven't already done so, get flyers printed, we can give them away at events like Calne Bike show and racing at Castle Combe!

good plan mate :-)
a friendly personal service (on the bikes!) is whats lacking from uber store rip off places nowadays......

if youre gonna work on offroad bikes as well, theres a trade account available from "OffRoadOnly"......they are dirty cheap for dirty bike bits :-) well worth checking out.

Best of luck with your new venture.
To be honest, I’m surprised anyone can be bothered to have a go these days.
After you’ve paid for business rates, the hazardous waste licence, tyre disposal contract, satisfied the fire regulations and spent hours with the V.A.T. paperwork (if you’re registered) it must feel like most of what you manage to earn just goes to pay the Man.

Running your own business is the hardest, most stressful but also most rewarding and satisfying job in the world :) in my opinion anyway...
