I'm going to attempt the coolant flush & change this weekend on the bike.

I've got the manufacturers manual & the Haynes.

Are there any pearls of wisdom that I need to know, that might not be in the manual? Any specific issues associated with my bike? I've read it through, and doesn't seem too complicated. My only 'nervous' part is bleeding the system of air afterwards...

I should add - I've bought the recommended coolant & distilled water for the task. I've also read that tap water is fine for the flushes, but obviously the correct mixture for the final re-fill & bleeding. It doesn't say either way in the manual, just says 'water', despite being specific about the type of water to be used for the actual blend in the coolant mix.

yeah, use a garden hose and "back flush" the system from the normal route that the coolant takes.
(youll need to put the garden hose in the bottom hose and take the top hose off to allow the crud to escape)....
dont use too much pressure!
