Anyone need powder coating?

Hi Newbie here!

Just a little note to say I have full access to powdercoating facilities in Trowbridge. (was my job for 5 years!)

So if anyone wants to discuss paiting let me know. I have various colours!

I also have some trade contacts for Machining/electro plating aswell

Any idea on a price to do a rear swingarm, footrest hangers, a set of wheels and a couple of other small parts?

how about solid and metallic finishes? do you offer anything special?

i have been quoted £50 per wheel in suzuki white....can u match that?

Hi guys,

What ill do is put something together and see where we are.

It can be quite difficult to price as different colours mean different prices.

But fear not im sure we can sort it all out!!

Only prob is i dont have any shot/sand blasting equipment (yet) Well i did have a shot blast cabinet but its u/s.

Sorry i havent sorted anything out pricing wise.

Dabs will you be getting the frame and wheels sand blasted?

At present our shot blaster cabinet isnt working, im hoping to get it sorted in the next few weeks as my range rover needs some rockers/plenum painted!! (not to mention the tcats rear swinging arm!)

Has anyone had any quotes from elsewhere for painting?

place in Andover i used about three years ago did the shot blast for 15 quid, and had the frame a couple weeks till they were doing black and did it for £25 when they added it to loads they were doing. (you have to be prepared to wait tho)....they used to do alloy wheels for cars, at £40 per wheel if you did all 4 at once. (he was cheap! He was an old bloke about 80 and i dont think he paid much tax) ;-)
il dig out the name of the place IF theyre still there!.
they did a decent job too.
theres another one in wilton, cant remember the name, but its on the trading estate just before the bridge on the warminster road, and BSA Regal in southampton if you want a "perfect" job....(expect to pay "perfect" prices tho)....

I hope you guy's don't mind me adding to this. It's just there's a great Powder Coating facility called Azcoat, based in Marsh Farm. www.azcoatmetalfinishing.co.uk in Trowbridge

They can also Shot Blast clean and have a huge range of colours in stock.

Contact for quotes or if you wanted I can post on here general prices for wheels, swing arms frames etc?

well the company i have been in contact with have quoted me £50 per wheel and £45 -55 for swing arm in a solid colour

Shot Blast Clean and powder coat of:

Per wheel in black is £35 slightly more if silver or another colour wanted.

Frame and swing arm together is £80

Price will vary slightly if a custom colour is wanted or each piece is wanted in a different colour.

Azcoat has done work for some of the members here before.
