Hi, my Aprilia RSV charging has given up the ghost. after some testing it seems the stator phase 2 has gone :(
Does anyone know any place local where I would be able to get them rewound? Aprilia parts a little step on the cost side. soon adds up with new stator, gasket, oil etc
Thanks
Garv

im having the same problem, U was told its the reg/rec on the bike why it wasn't charging, I ran another test and found its the stator, just removed it from the bike and thank god I found a nice burn't bit, I can only find the early model stators on ebay at the moment, will have to keep looking, im away in ireland next week so have 10 days or so before I need the bike running :)
here is what I have found

I've found these to be helpful in the past

worth a call
I had mine go last year while I was in Ireland, thought it was the Reg/Rec go again, but when the RAC got involved back in the UK and added a new Reg/Rec it still did not charge the battery, so I looked into getting it rewound but it would cost more than getting a new one from Davisilvers, but then I had a chat with Bike Traeds in Swindon and they did the full job of fitting a new one for little over the price of a new one from Davidsilvers.

Managed to get hole of one and fitted it all my self, such a big boy :)
It seems that you do need that little O'ring to stop the oil from peeing out lol. The bike touch wood is running lovely again.
I have a spare burnt out stator which I will get rewound at soe point as a spare.
Nice one. I have some money sat in the kitchen for you for that iPhone case, are you about later?
