Does anyone have a K&N Air Filter fitted to their bike?

Is it worth the upgrade from a standard one??

Yes and yes - for me. They can lean out the fuelling so be prepared to adjust it to get the best from it and not risk a burnt valve.

Do you mean panel filter element or removing th airbox and having the individual filters?

The sv has a modded airbox with what is best described as the mother of air filters in it (same as the race sv's), with a re-tune this has flatened and raised the torque cruve making the bike pull better, but not significantly raised the power. The inlet noise though is addictive!!!

The individual filters are similar in that they'll free up air flow, but you'll need to check the tune. The biggest advantage I find though is that they are washable. No buying an air filter every year!!!

I meant the simple replacement type. Just pop it in and gain 1 or 2 HP and a nice growl :)

Is only 1-2bhp, but the growl is great!!!!!! :)
