Went to NEC yesterday and saw some Oxford Original Hot Grips at a decent price but couldnt remember the size of my handlebars so rang the Triumph dealer in Swindon and he assured me that they were 22mm got the grips home and they wouldnt fit as the bars turned out to be 25.4mm (1") .Ive trawled the Oxford range on the net and various alternative brands,Oxford do a custom version to fit 1" bars but im not keen on the chrome bare ends or the chrome heat controller that come with these grips. does anyone know of some decent alternative heated grips that will fit 1" bars ( SNOWY ) ??? 8-)

Both of my bikes have OEM BMW heated grips fitted. They're a custom design and couldn't easily be made to fit another bike. On the GS they connect into the Can bus controlled wiring harness as the "fuse" is electronic and controlled by the bike's brain. They're not easy to retrofit onto the GS let alone fit to any other bike even thought hey are 1" diametre. The K bike has more "normal" grips but they still have customised wiring as they are designed to fit through the handlebars and you have to replace the entire throttle assembly and bars in order to fit them. I also think they are 7/8ths fitment and are £160 a set. You would also need to fit the custom switches somewhere......

Sorry I can't help more.

What about the wrap around ones?

They get pretty warm, in fact even I need to switch them OFF sometimes.

Ive checked the R+G grips Tim it seems they only fit 22mm bars, the bars on the Bonny are 25mm.

The cable had broken on mine this morning. Brr my hands were frozen just on the ride from Hilperton to tescos car park. I had to fix them before riding on.
Fitted my scottoiler today as well :)
