I was in casualty having a steel particle removed from my eye :'(
one of the pitfalls of being a welder/ fabricator. :-[
you can be as careful as you can.. working in a welding shop with 6 other guys, grinding and welding, bits of steel fly around, you can't wear goggles all day long.. especially when you wear spectacles like I do, hazzard of the job I'm afraid. :(
I wouldn't do anything else, I love my job.. making things out of metal, I've been doing it for 31 years, still love it!! :)

Ouch, hope the eye is good Toph. You need to look after them, I've only got 1 1/2 myself! ;)
