Now I wouldn't mind earning £180,000!

Wilts CC need a new Chief Executive (http://www.salisburyjournal.co.uk/news/4440240.__180_000_on_offer_for_council_chief/) a lot of directors of private co.s dont even get 180K - it obviously pays to work in the public sector!

I didn't realise that the council had so much money - maybe instead of spending the £50k on recruiting they could fill in some of the potholes on the roads so that we dont have to dangerously swerve around them??

With that much money surely the council could create several jobs in Wiltshire (http://www.careers-jobs.eu/wiltshire-jobs)?

I am looking for a new job, but I want to work for a charity somehow i dont think they could afford such high salaries

ah well
;)

you could get a really really good bike for that money - or a whole garage full [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

If they gave me that money i wouldnt need to work for 5 years!!!!! obviously unless i went mad and bought everythign i saw

If I took the money I am on now that would be 7.5 years before I needed to work again, how sweet would that be, oh and another 2 years if they added the 50k as well......so 9.5 years all in all.

maybe we should both apply and get a job share on it! [smiley=thumbsup.gif] that way we could work 2.5 days each and still be earning 90k not inc the £50!!!

We have a contract to sell them office furniture, they can afford to spend £180K on the chief exec and they spend loads on furniture lol

Do I really want to take a pay cut?
Only joking

Just think of the tax deduction line on your payslip. Ouch
just worked it out to be nearly £68k a year in deductions. :o

you may lose 68k in tax but you would still take home over 110K -I could live with that!!

Even if all 4 of us went splits it would still be 45k per year each - now if we are getting a job there - do they have nice furniture?

if not we will be wanting some better stuff from HMB! Do you do anything gold plated it sounds like they can afford it!!!

Hahah guys that sounds awsome to me!

Are you up for splitting that 5 ways instead? I could do with a cash floe injection right now am broke as a joke!

I can't believe with the number of people being made redundant that that kind of money can still go to one person! And your right even after tax thry get to take home over 100k - wheres the problem? Id be more than happy with that hehe!
