Take one plastic bucket with an opening diameter of 9¾”, leave it outside in a position where it can catch rainwater without being affected by un-natural conditions for the entire month of July, then measure the amount of rainwater it collects.

The result?
1½ Imperial gallons.

I have no idea how to convert this to inches of rainfall, but 1½ gallons is a lot, by anybody’s book.
Whatever happened to global warming?

Global warming decreases the flow of the golf stream which decreases the amount of heat flowing up to our neck of the woods, and the jet stream is lower than usual this year which is why we've had so much rain.
