Dubbin?

Used to work on my old footie boots when I was a kid...

... or just wear it. Lots. On the bike, to the pub (maybe take the armour out first), housework (if you're that way inclined ;D), whatever.

Find a tight right hand bend, halfway way round crack the throttle and when the back end slides shut it off just as quick. Do this a few times and your new jacket will have that "well used" look and feel to it. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

There is leather softner out there. Not sure where you get it from though, maybe a fetish shop? or even a cobler?

I use dubbin on my Military boots and I got that from Millets, not too sure if it'll have the same affect on bike leathers (I take it that it's a bike leather jacket :-/ )

When I get new leathers I sleep in them...Not in a kinky way, btw! just to break them in

i find sleeping in general enough of a struggle,

i imagine it would be a mission in a leather jacket

Hein Gerricke leather cuir Works pretty well. I've used it for years. Ever been to a bike show? Been offered a free shoe shine whilst there? That stuff works well too and lasts for ages. On the subject of bike shows has anyone else been ripped off by the "anti fogging" guy sell that pink ****e you rub on visors. >:(

Yep, that would be me (bought two). Mug or what. Great demo thou.

Wrt soften leathers, what about putting in stout bag and putting in tumble dryer on low heat ? Never tried it myself so don't hunt me down if you try this and it doesn't work.

I was pleasantly surprised after treating myself to a set of BKS leathers last year (the proper ones, not the new FT-linked off-the-peg stuff) and they're the first leathers I've ever bought that needed no wearing in at all, the leather was thick and tough, but really supple - reflected in the price I suppose, but they are just sooo comfy 8-)
My Zak Leathers race suit is also comfy, after feeling like a suit of armour when I first got it, and I did wear that round the house for a number of evenings... ::)

Walk into your local pub and pick a fight with the biggest chap in there. Do this a few times and it will soon look used and abused.
By the way if it's the Black Horse it will probably be me. ;D

just wear it, wear it in the house, wear it in the car and wear it to the shops, you will have it worn in within a few days
