Clay Pigeon Shooting at larkhill.

Having posted on an earlier thread this morning, i now have enthusiasm to brush off the dust off my "shooter" and go clay pigeon shooting....i havent been for about a year...or two...!.

willing to take some WB'ers (experienced or newbies) and give some (useless) instruction if required....

so, if people are interested, its at LarkHill near Durrington, its an army base so youll need photo id (drivers license/passport) and is about £22 for 50 shots and clays.

if theres enough enthusiasm il arrange a day.

Not used my gun in about 15 years (will my cartridges still be OK do you recon) plus it's a side-by-side which is not what is usually used for clays I understand.
When I bought mine, over&unders were new fangled things that we all made fun of (bit like Jap bikes when they first came over) how times change !

I've only ever shot clays twice before but struggled to find a recipe that made them lose the tough texture ;D

Gerry, no worries, ive got a 70 year old side/side and thats good fun, the larkhill shoot is very informal, i used to shoot there with a camo painted pump action! il take my semi-auto though if anyone fancies a go, although i think there will be a club over/under we can borrow...
for the ladies ive got a smaller single barrel .410 i can borrow (its about half the size and weight/kick of a 12 bore, and its "child" dimensions are good for people with shorter builds.....but il have to have money in hand to go and get cartridges for it, as they dont stock them at the shoot......

with this many people going im not sure that larkhill will let us all in (youre supposed to be MOD etc0....but il try....if not we can try a more local shoot and see if they mind us all going round in one clump....
should be ok tho....
