Sorry .... It all goes back to the 70's when I first started riding

Triumph were trying to compete with all the Jap stuff.

Die hard "I will only buy British" bought new Triumphs and tried to thrash them like Japanese bikes which were half their engine size.

Within weeks they shook themselves to pieces and broke down.
