Fellow WBs,

One of my interests outside of biking is photography, in particular sports. I'd like to take some action shots of bikes and thought it would be a good idea to see if any of you wish to have some photos of yourselves in action. Below are some photos I took today.

Why noy come along to the Sally this Sat. 21st from about 11.45am I am helping to complete a wish list and taking an elderly lady out on a Harley. I bet she would love a few pics. Also a number of other WBers are acting as an escourt should be a good photo op.

If you could do on-bike pictures, I'd like some of me and my pupils while training. Or there is a couple of good locations locally that would make for some good drive-by shots. I don't mean drive-by shooting... :-? :)

You do not need expensive cameras to get actions shots - But it does help.

It is possible to take riding shots with a little cameraswith a bit of practice

I took this with a littlr pocket camera....

Most little cameras takes asecond to set the focus before it shoots so the bike is out of shot, etc.

The trick is to point the camera at the spot where you will take the photo and half press the shutter button and hold it there.
The camera sets the focus, etc. Wait for the bike to come.
Pan with it and press the shutter button at the point you set the focus.

It takes practice and can be very rewarding when it works

Able more than happy to oblige you on that front. I work shifts so have time off during the week so shouldn't have a problem sorting out a suitable time.

Why not come along to the RAF Odiham Trackday on the 5th Sept and take some shots. If you let me know early enough i could make enquiries for you.

Mate, sounds like a cracking idea. I am not working that weekend so certainly can attend this. Would be a very good opportunity to practice some racing shots as I'm planning on going to Silverstone for the BSB in September.
