Having a few issues with my bluetooth on my lappie(Windows 7) - my better half borrowed my dongle a week back and now it wont work... lost the driver disk for the original one so bought a new one with driver disk today - loaded in ok but it still wont work/connect?
Dongle will register in the laptop, shows the little blue symbol etc - my phone wont find my laptop at all?

Trying to connect from my pc I get the following miniscreen:

Bluetooth file transfer was not completed
Windows was unable to transfer some files
An invalid argument was supplied

To try again, click the back arrow

Any ideas? >:(

Download the latest driver for it?

Tried that... may have to be a complete restart from fresh!

Have you got the drivers from the old card still installed? If it can't transfer the files its most likely that they share a program file and it can't overwrite the old ones and its just getting confused. Delete/uninstall ALL the drivers for any dongle you've used on the pc and start over.

Sounds like a clash somewhere. Had this on my laptop, and it was two versions of the same software trying to do the same thing. Deleted one version and it worked.

Removed all downloads etc off my lappie & reloaded the new disc & dongle - still same problem... seems to be some sort of communication error between the dongle & the lappie?

If it hasnt got wheels then I cant fix it! >:( :-?

Not sure about windows 7 but with XP you install the drivers then restart comp with dongle etc in and XP finds the dongle then searches for drivers and then it works, well most of the time :)Try it that way unless you have already

It reboots after the disc has downloaded anyways, no joy? Tried everything I can think of?
Geo - if you want to have a look at it you are more than welcome! :)
