Sadly the SD1's rusted away years ago.... indicative of British motor manufacturing in the late 70's, British Leyland a good example,
Poor quality, poor workmanship, held back by he closed shop union system under the socialist governments of the time.. it comes as no surprise the japanese , German and European car manufacturers cleaned up and the British car manufacturers went to the wall.
I love Britain.. I've worked my arse off every day since I left school. I pay my taxes, I've never once claimed benefit, I feel I have a right to air my grievences, I believe in a fair day's pay for fair day's work, No one is more patriotic as me, It burns my arse to think that the bankers, upper echelon civil servants, are getting (not earning!!) more in bonuses every year than I earn in 10 years , but what can we do????
Social unrest??? Revolution???

As a worker of the private sector, I have a private pension which I have been paying into for the last 30 years, which will be worth. lets face it... bugger all.(Thanks to that wonderful prudent chancellor..Mr Brown.)
Why then should I, through the taxes I pay, subsidise a pension of a public sector worker, who can retire 15 years earlier than me on a massively better monetary package than me??
Where's the fairness in that??

wow!! :o

This started as a request for a SD1.... has now turned into a socio-political commentry on the story of BL and it's relevence in the current situation.

Andy, the Sd1 i know of is an early one, but a rusting shell on wheels.... has been outdoors for as long as I've been in trowbridge (20 years...)
