I find it Ironic that as Remembrance Sunday approaches every year, we here calls for the compulsory wearing of the poppy from Paul Callan and his ilk. Millions of our brave men and women paid the ultimate sacrifice during both world wars to protect our freedom. People should wear the poppy because they want to and not because they are told to.

I've got one of the RBLR wrist bands so wear my poppy all year round. It's there for those who want to display support for the fallen , the wounded or even just those who have served and continue to serve... We fight for freedom and freedom of choice to impose the wearing of the poppy goes against some of what it stands for ....

Regardless, tomorrow I will be at the cenotaph paying my respects to fallen comrades .

I will always wear mine with pride! Far as am concerned, our service men and women put their lives on the line 24/7. By wearing the poppy and by me giving donations to other forces charities it makes me feel that I am doing that little bit to help and to remember those that have been injured or lost their life...

Wearing the poppy should always be a matter of choice, never compulsion. The Middle-England Taliban who read the Daily Mail and Express are no better than the real Taliban, Al-Qaeda, the Christian far-right in the US or the Nazis. Intolerance, religious or otherwise, is the enemy of freedom.
