Talking about youth binge-drinking today, Prime Minister Cameron said he was considering introducing US-inspired "drunk tanks", cells to house people overnight while they sober up.
In his days as Tory leader, William Hague famously boasted that he drank up to 14 pints a day as a teenager. PM Cameron has admitted that he drank "too much" as a teenager at Eton. "When I was 14, 15, 16, I was doing things that teenagers do in terms of drinking too much, being caught having the odd fag, things like that," he said.
At least the taxpayer will make a saving – no need to commission expensive consultants to report on the feasibility of “drunk tanks.” Just ask the cabinet. ;) ;D :P
