Maybe they can put the speed limit back up to 60 mph :-/

I can't see that happening, may reduce it to 40MPH ::)

Also for anyone thinking of going Midford Hill instead, that was resurfaced over the weekend, going down there this morning was lethal with channels of loose chippings.

About time Midford was resurfaced, but sounds like surface dressing instead of doing it properly? :-?

Midford was dangerous before, but this morning it looked like top dressing but the gravel was collecting in channels along the road, making it very hard to ride between and one touch of the loose stuff could hurt a lot ::)

Took 'dero to Bishops for its 5K service and both Midford hill and the hill the other side toward Hinton was like a skating rink. Really unpleasant. (Didnt stop the jade green Toyota from hugging my back wheel all the way along it though)

Midford Hill - So so glad I drove the car to work yesterday.....

Ive never seen it rain so hard and the water was gushing down the hill like a river last night with rocks and debris being washed down with it.

Im so glad they have just top dressed it, as all those loose chippings will have been washed away now ;D

This morning the road was closed, I forgot Sally in the Woods had re-opened, so I ended up going through the centre of Bath >:(

Midford Hill update - it's open again this evening and the surface seemed really nice (was in the car though so not sure)... the road had been swept so all the debris from last night's flood was gone, along with the majority of loose chippings ;)

I see they haven't cleared the drain on the bend then
