As i'm a nosey buggar i was wondering how people have met anybody 'famous' but a little more than just an autograph or picture, anyone got any good tales?

Mine is i met Zoe Ball in '98 when she opened the Virgin megastore, everyone was queuing for autographs but when it came to my turn i cheekily asked for a kiss instead, she planted one right on my smacker, took me totally by surprise but as i walked away in a daze all i could hear behind me was "give us a kiss too" and her saying no sorry one off only! Went home with a very big head that day :) 8-)

When I was about 9 or 10 my mates mum used to work in the box office at the Wyvern Theatre. She got us in free to see The Wizard Of Oz.
The lion picked me to go up on stage with him to sing and dance.......(that I'm afraid was the end of my show biz career) hehe ;D and the only claim to fame I have.......except......
I was in the same tutor group at school as Mark Lamarr.....but I try to keep that quiet.......he was a bit of a knoblet then too hehe ;D ;D

Played football for charity against danom albarn , Phil Daniels and took out Jason statham with a high tackle but he just shook my hand and said nice one mate. We lost

James eades from WB but he was so fussy I walked out .

Had a kiss off Barbara Windsor, when i was 8 @ Bradford Alhambra.

Installed a telephone line in her house 25 years later, she didn't remember kissing me! Also installed lines at John Inmans, he was hilarious and a really friendly bloke :P George Michael wouldn't take the door off the chain, weirdo, he had a fault, loads of celebs, the joys of working for d Side support on the west end in Lahndun.

not really claim to fames but Im bored and thought Id tell you all anyway..

Cerys Matthews went to my school (not the same time as me though)
I was good friends with Stereophonics Kelly Jones' cousin.

Dai Greene was in my primary school in my sisters class

I got Steven Gerrard to sign my Liverpool shirt while I was wearing it, oh and Vegard Heggem (but nobody usually knows who he is)

I've met numerous (now ex) Liverpool players & got piccys with them and once asked Steve Staunton if he "liked his job" Yes I was 14 and didn't know what else to say)

I've been on Russ Swift's stand with my racing tuned puma engined Ka at Rally Day in castle coombe and got to be part of his show in the minis and go round the track with him in the evo's.

I used to work for Saab in Cambridge and Stephen Fry came in for his car to be serviced and I had to serve him and then had to ring him up a few times to ask him about parts and when his car was ready to be collected. He also follows me on twitter.

Not very exciting, I pay so little attention that if someone famous come up and chatted to me id probably have no idea these days!

Ive met a few celebs in my time, but Ive also had my own 5 minutes of fame.

I was on the telly a few years back, got hounded by the press for a few days and was the number 1 topic of conversation for a short while. ;D

My Bruv, Norman Whiteside and me was having a few beers together.

Bet Kev remembers this guy; Stormin Norman Whiteside scored an extra-time winner in the 1985 FA cup final against holders Everton - magic! Had Everton won the match they would have completed an unprecedented Treble of League, FA Cup and European Cup Winners' Cup.

He holds records as the youngest player to take part in a World Cup, the youngest player to score in a League Cup and FA Cup final, and the youngest player to score a senior goal for Manchester United.

When I lived in Scotland I was ticket secretary for the Highlands and Islands Man U supporters club and met Alex and most of the players.

I was also H&I press officer for the Scottish Socialist Party when we had 6 MSPs in the Scottish parliament. (Spent many years antagonising the so-called heavy weight politicians, loved every minute of it and still do).

Had a nice friendly chat with Ted Heath ( I would call him a nice Tory) :D ;) ;D

I've been on telly myself, after training a reporter from Meridian 6 o'clock show on friday evening news. Been on BBC Radio Solent. Helped compare the 'Woman Biker of the Year' competition at the Beaulieu Bike weekend, alongside Steve Berry (ex-Top Gear). At that time met Jamie Whitham, Chris Walker, Steve Hislop, John Reynolds, Tommy Hill, Sean Emmett, Sammy Miller, Neil Hodgeson, and have chin wagged at length with James Hayden. Worked with Jet from Gladiators, at CSM. Worked at the Bike Show at the NEC, and met Niall Mackenzie. Along the way I've trained a couple of Swindon Town footballers. Matt Banahan, Nick and Simon Abendanon, Mearsey and Joe Maddock from Bath Rugby. Simon Donald from Viz magazine. Our local bike celeb Victor Cox. And our local TV celeb (satellite) Jason Dawe, from 'Used Car Roadshow'. Been in the 'green room' at the National Theatre and met 'Willmot' from an old TV show called 'Rosie'. Also met some Princess or other (Alexandra?), went to school with a 'lady', and met Graham Garden from 'The Goodies'. :o

But of course, as I keep saying to the Mrs, it's me what is famous doncha know... ;)

When we used to sponsor Victor through his R6 Cup years, we would get free pit passes. So me and my mate Jimmer would go stalking... ;D
Also, working for CSM Rider Training, I was probably a bit larger than life. So I would get picked to do the TV, radio, and comparing thing. Was a great laugh with Steve Berry, although I did poo myself talking to a crowd of about 10000 people... :o

Toyed with wether to post or not as my claims may leave you thinking me a little bit of a story teller :( :( :(, however tis all true, unfortunately if i used names i would be in a world of hurt so i will be as subtle as possible.......... and ive the pics to prove it ;D,
I worked for jordan F1 whey back in the when as my uncle designed the championship winning car for bennetton shumi drove, I then went to jaguar and promptly became red bull...... got banned from drinking with certain scotsman because at a party one night we were drinking vodka luiges in barcelona.... i drew a straw and was up against the mad jock... who is a little bit of a party animal, well spin off and another funny part, the ice sculptures were actually naked bodies male and female, Id already decided at this point there was no way i was drinking vodka from a penis real or not... at which point he called me a pussy and the games began, next day he crashed the car !!!! a memo was quickly sent around that no team members were from that point onwards allowed to go out drinking with drivers unless specific permission was granted by senior management ;D ;D
Another time in monaco we had a deal with KTM and drivers 3 at the time, italian with long hair, austrian with no humor, and the mad jock, were given bikes, well the jock didnt really like riding (bikes) so I was always tasked with riding his around for a marketing ploy, I remember well wheelieing through casino square, the wrong way up a one way with the italian following. once more we got into trouble :-/ :-/ :-/.
My time at red bull came to an end and i moved to ferrari :D, at this point our drivers were a brazillian and a finn, well contrary to popular belief the finn is a really funny and genuinly nice guy. on more than one occaison I was tasked with looking after his german sheppard dog which he used to bring along just to piss the management off :D,
On another Monaco race weekend we were all guests of marlboro for a meal on a cruise liner and as such received momentos, it was an unwritten rule you never hassle the drivers for merchandise or momentoes, but the finn was doing the rounds signing everyones dvds and jumpers, well he came up and asked what I would like on mine.... I couldnt resist and said" any chance of Sorry Rob I was busy taking a **** !" .......... he went very quiet and proceeded to piss himself laughing, anyone into motorsport will know exactly where that came from..... He signed lol.
The following day saw the return to the paddock of a famous recently retired german as a sporting director, again another really nice guy in life, he rode in on a gleaming hog in black and red with his never usually seen wife, Knowing I was an idiot biker he asked me to put his bike away safely and see him at the end of the race,
All sorted at the end he had decided to fly out by helicopter as he didnt want the press chasing him and his wife on a bike, I was tasked with racing out of the track on his bike to distract the press and meet up later in Nice with it, well that WAS fun lol,
Another time we went Go Karting at his track in Kerpen, a bi annual treat paid by himself for the whole team, everyone is divvied up size weight wise, 3 F1 drivers in each team and the jovialities begin, well anyone who knows me already knows I would look like the supermario gorilla on a go kart, 11 second laps compared to their 7 second laps soon saw a bright orange crash helmet up my chuffer trying to pass,
He was sooooo dirty but as i was so heavy he couldnt budge my Kart and I refused to be lapped. However after numerous blue flags and him taking runs at me in every bend laughing as he did it I let him pass......... and proceeded to chase him flat out all around the next bend (I was quicker here) and pick him up into the hairpin, just to give him a little taste of his own medicine..... erm all I can say is He's not very heavy and I have a wicked photo of the said german Tboned on his side on the hairpin of his own track :P :P :P...... pmsl we really did win the war that day!!!
Well I then started working for Ducati moto gp at the same sort of time flying backwards and forwards each weekend, obviously bumped shoulders with the riders, young aussie etc, but the funniest moments were usually when we thought no-one was watching........ we were just starting paddock build in Donnington when scooter was all the rage, a new craze of silly dancing was taking off in fountains etc, well myself and certain others who never actually got identified at the time, were guilty of performing the said dance moves on the roof of the roof terrace of the ducati motorhome ;D ;D ;D......... which was promptly filmed by sky sports ........... all I can say is Im sorry............................. for my appaling dancing !
Plenty more stories about pissed up arsenal footballers falling into the Monaco Harbour after a night with the said jock above etc...... by me a drink or wait till im pissed and they all come out lol.
Take care now and I promise its all true !

I met lenny henry at the longwellgreen fete many many years back. probably 30 years. Did some random competition on the stage with him. I would have been 10.
Around the same time I met and got the autograph of Rolph Harris when he opened the Great Mills store in Longwellgreen.

Lee Martin of Man U winning goal fame in 1990 moved in next door to me when he joined Bristol rovers and I fitted a body kit to his BMW.

Rolling stone Bill Wyman came on stage for a chat when I was doing foam and DJing his daughters 10th birthday in 2008.
He said he wasn't staying long as he couldn't put up with the noise.

Changed the wheel on the limo of Goldie when he got a puncture on Park St in Bristol. His attitude was crap.

Recovered the van and band members of 808 state from glastonbury in 1994? after someone set fire to it.

Met Davina mcColl when supplying a foam machine for celebrity BB in 2009?
I Love Davina :-*

Met and had breakfast with Matt Allwright when I worked on an episode of rogue traders 2 years ago.

Met Aled Jones (the gay one from chris moyles show) in North Devon when I was making it snow for a large event there.

DJ Tim Westwood (& pimp my ride) is nowhere near as annoying in real life as he is when doing his 'thing'
He was DJing a foam party I was doing and we had a chat in the car park after. Quite a normal bloke.

There were others when we had a truck mounted stage 10 years ago but i forget who and where. memory is quite bad these days.
