Alan from Phoenix...

The old boy Alan from Phoenix Motorcycles has been rushed into hospital to under go emergency surgery. I'm not sure of the exact procedure, but he was operated on for 5 hours. It's unlikely he'll ever return to work at the shop. I'd like to send him my best wishes for a full recovery. He's a real nice guy, who has been in the game a long time, and has some great stories. He's even written his own book on his exploits. GWS Alan... :(

Yeah emergency op Sunday .. known him and his wife Lynn who has also had another bad event recently :( for a long time

helps me out a lot as is a total mine of info and only last week did a helicoil for me 8-)

have a beer most Sundays with him.

He was great with my sidecar outfit, servicing the Bonnie and has done a home visit with a new battery for the MT.
Sad he won't be back in the shop.

Alan is the older lanky guy with a 'tache, who generally organises stock and does a fair degree of mechanical work too. News is, the op went ok. Still not great, but at least as well as can be expected.
