We live in the top end of trowbridge near hilperton. We have pish water pressure, showers that dribble and a conventional gas boiler with tank and so forth. I need a decent plumber to take a look and see what we need to do to get a decent shower pressure going. Should we change to a combi boiler??? Anybody know a registered plumber and/or corgi man that fits the bill!
Cheers.

If you have water / heating system that has large water storage header tank in loft and so a gravity fed water system, I'd advise getting a digital pumped shower system for a gravity system.
I had an Aquilisa Quartz digital system installed in my loft ... pump draws in hot and cold water, mixes it to temp you want and then blasts it down single feed to shower . Bloody brilliant.

The guy that fitted it recommended the Aquilisa kit. He is a very skilled guy. If you want I can PM you his details .. he may come as far as Trowbridge.

He is a bathroom specialist based in Swindon ... he completely gutted my en-suite, did a fantastic job tiling floor to ceiling, fitted new shower tray, cubicle etc and re-did the pipework and also installed an additional hot pipe spur off the hot water tank ready for when I have main bathroom done at later date.

why not just install say a 2bar pump

twin impellar so it boosts hot and cold supplys to said shower.

or say a 3bar pump and boost the entire house. give me a pm ;)

if you can get a unvented cylinder its the best way to improve the system provided you have decent pressure. boost pumps are expensive and not that reliable

unvented are good BUT the pressure relife valves fail on them for a past time

i visit more jobs to replace the prv than i have because of faulty booster pumps

prvs only fail for 2 reasons both connected to lack of or poor maintence

Aqualisa give 5 year guarantee on their digital pump showers.
Also, don't buy them direct from Aqualisa.
Can get them for 40% less from an electrical wholesaler.

Bath and west plumbing and heating is 'gas safe' registered and all that shizzle.

He won't be the cheapest but will do a top quality job.
