Had an Idea to raise a bit of cash for WB. As we currently have 1,954 members. How about a £1 sweep stake to guess the date when we shall hit 2000 members.
Winner with the correct date wins a £10. Simply post on this thread your date & £1 donation to WB via usual methods.
OK. Quid from me. 4th April 2013 :)

I've worked out the average number of new accounts per day and then factored in a seasonal variation according to weather patterns and the gravitational force of the moon - so its March 2nd from me :)
great idea! Especially as I'm in control of accepting/rejecting new members. I could just give today's date and go accept the 392 applications that are sat there pending now...though I suspect they're all spammers (we get about 500 a day).
On a serious note though,, I reckon April 24th

Um..I may have just messed this up :) I noticed the numbers kept hitting 1995 then going back to 1994 when we accepted another person - I'm sure it's been doing this for ages but I kept telling myself I was imagining it, so I clicked "rebuild members list" and now it's recounted properly we hit 2000 a while ago it seems...sorry!

Well we've had 421 applicants since I cleared the list at lunchtime, probably all will be spammers again but I'll start wading through now and we may have reached our target by bedtime...though I doubt it :) (we get hundreds every day)
