stoppies and wheelies

not that I'm a good enough rider to even consider doing either...but just always wondered how :P wheelies you come off the clutch fairly hard don't you? how the hell do you control it once the front wheel's in the air, and isn't it scarey as hell when you've never done one?

like I said, no plans to ever do either, just curious :P

After speaking to Dion for what seemed hours last night...he was telling me his little putt putt will pull wheelies in 3rd gear at 50mph...and well into 3 figures too...(not that hes done that of course...cough cough)

VERY scary when your learning,you really need someone watching you to tell you how high you are cus' 6inchs feels like 6 feet!! :o
As for 'how too'....On mine,it will come up on ecceleration in second if i just open it up quickly,no clutch.In third,you just 'flick' the clutch with 2 fingers AND open the throttle more unless it has a low fuel load in which case,just the flick.
As for control........Well thats just practice and overriding your brains fear switch! ;)
Obviously its a little more involved than that but thats the basics. 8-)

Once I've got it up how do I keep it up :o
Is it easier with the wife sitting behind me :'(
Is it right that too strong a right wrist can end in tears :-[
How do I stop mine coming down and bangin my nuts :-*

thanks for the info though mate, the 1st thing everyone says when seeing the bandit is "stunt biker then?" so it's a bit embarassing to not know how to do anythign even if I wanted to lol

All of my misbehaving is carried out on private roads in the presence of medical staff.

I never pull stoppies coming up to traffic lights.....I never pull power wheelies off that crest in the road coming towards Lechlade.....i never get my knee down all the way round the Highworth roundabout. :-X
