I am going to need a new lid as result of my accident, my beloved shoei has bit the dust (or more to the point the tarmac). I can't really spend more than £150.

I saw these in Jersey, they looked really neat was going to get one but they didn't have my size in stock (no comments please!)

Variety of inserts available too.

http://www.designerhelmets.com/prodcat.php?cat=Caberg shows the operation

or their own website which shows visor insert availability

Not to keen on flip face lids, my cousin is a copper and he says that every accident he attends the chin part always rips off, not pleasent. But the sun visor bit is very handy, I will look to see if they do a full face.

I've seen a lot of bike coppers wearing flip fronts!

I know what you mean tho' but it's better than an open face which a lot of my classic pals wear!

I've heard bad things about Cabergs... can't remember where from though but they definitely got some bad reviews/comments about how they stand up in accidents.

Cheers. I'll do some more research then, before I part with any pennies, meantime, if you can remember what & where you saw it that would be good.

Cheers BB

I used to use a Craft Helmet excellent value for money and quiet at high speed

Can't knock my spare Shark RSF2-Race. £199 but got it 50% off in Hein Gericke for £99, should be some good deals around on them now :)

Cabergs are not the best, I fit a load at work and they are a bit flimsy and most of the time the visors tend to go a orange instead of being clear.

A cheap AGV or HJC would be your best bet full face wise. I wear a Roof Daytona which should of been around the £350 mark.

James you should also look at the Arai Condor, around £199 though you may be able to find them cheaper on-line.

Cheers,

Jeff
