from Pauline who organises the ladies rideouts at Fowlers

A Police and Local Council operation
is taking place. Between 12noon and 4pm, on Saturday 1st July.

The plan is to stop EVERY bike coming in to Weston. Some will be given
roadside checks, frame/engine numbers, numberplates, document checks etc.
Those that haven't got a correctly stamped Exhaust, or fail on one of the
other points will be sent around to the Police station, where an area is
being set up to measure the exhaust noise and more stringent checks can take
place.
Some bikes failing some of the checks will be impounded.
The initial stop and check points are located around the town centre, mainly
on routes leading to the two Bike Parks in the town. Carlton Street Car Park
(Scallys Pub) and the Seafront (Tourist Information Center).

Please pass this on. This is not a joke.

Just thought I'd let you know - in case you were heading that way (W-S-M) this weekend - apologies if its on site already!

Yes they do, sorry Mac, didn't expain that very well. I ment the 'Stop Every' bit. I know there isn't as many bikes as cars, but it really gets on my wick they let the boy racers away with murder and yet a biker only has to sneeze in the wrong place and all hell breaks loose.

It's almost worth going as my bike is fully street legal, just to stick 2 fingers up at them on the way out, but I'd probably get arrested for that! ::)
